For the past 6 months I have been assistant teaching 2 dance classes. Beginner tap which is usually ages 9-13 and Ballet ages 9-14. I have lear about children with a less of an experience than me. I have always taken dance seriously, When I was 9 I started competition dance. Our studio would always win first place and a diamond award. I stopped when I was 12 because I realized my passion for Broadway and how much I wanted to preform. When i was 12 I actually got a full scholarship to a dance competition nationals in Las Vegas. Once I switched to a more performance centered studio They automatically put me into classes with a more advanced level for a kids a little older than me. Now being in higher classes then I started off in and teaching lower levels I realized how other kids feel. There. There are three kinds of kids. There are kids that take dance as a hobby. The kids that do 2 or 3 classes a week and in a average level placement for there age. I realized these kids try really hard to get to the level there at.Then there are the show kids, The kids that take dance because they can sing and act so why not do the thing that goes in hand and hand with that, These kids are often in a younger level class but are the best in the class because they already have tons of experience from shows and workshops and they try hard. Then there are kids like me who don’t understand how all the other kids in the studio have talent and time to do other sports.
