Bunion surgery

As a 15 year old girl you wouldn’t expect to see me struggling with a bunion but in my scenario I struggle with 4 bunions from genetics and dance combined.  I decided to take the 2017-2018 dance season off to get my bunions removed because if i want to pursue dance as my career i would rather get them removed now before i am looking for a serious job in dance and the preforming arts.  The surgery took 1 year to plan and it wasn’t always the first option. At first i had to wait to be done growing because they cant alter my foot if my growth plates are not fully shut. it took 4 months for my growth plates to fully shut of for me to be done with growing. After that we tried 2 injections to see if that would help instead of the surgery, sadly they both failed at reliving my pain. So on November 7th at 6:00 am i woke up and went right in for surgery. The surgery  took 2 hours. i was under much pain the following of days but for the most part it was numb.  I should be out of my boot in 5 weeks and dancing again in September. I’m glad i did the surgery now instead of waiting till i was older and i was trying to get a job in dance because then it would have gotten in the way with my passion and hopefully future career.
